As a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer, you will be at the forefront of cybersecurity efforts, ensuring the resilience and security of federal information systems. Your responsibilities will include:

Responsibilities

  • Cybersecurity Assessment and Authorization (A&A): Conduct comprehensive security assessments of federal systems, networks, and applications to identify vulnerabilities and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Incident Response and Threat Detection: Monitor, detect, and respond to cybersecurity threats and incidents promptly, minimizing potential risks to government assets.
  • Security Architecture Review: Evaluate and enhance the security architecture of federal systems, ensuring compliance with federal standards and guidelines.
  • Continuous Monitoring: Implement and maintain continuous monitoring programs to ensure the ongoing security and compliance of federal systems.
  • Security Consultation: Provide expert cybersecurity advice and guidance to federal agencies, assisting them in making informed decisions to strengthen their security posture.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Prepare detailed reports and documentation related to security assessments, findings, and recommendations for federal agencies and stakeholders.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, federal agencies, and stakeholders to enhance cybersecurity awareness and practices across the federal government.
  • Experience using CI/CD pipelines Gitlab CI/CD with Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF)/OCI containers
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
